Rain is good for growth. On the Community Experience & Engagement team we're in the business of providing culture, opportunities, and support to empower our Rain Makers to build careers and lives where our Rain Makers and communities thrive. This role builds culture, events, processes and structures to ensure our Rain Makers are fully equipped and empowered to make meaningful contributions and enjoy a world-class employee experience at Talking Rain.

Reports to: Sr. Employee Experience & Brand Manager

Location: Hybrid at our Preston, WA office 3+ days a week and on site at events as needed.

  • Life happens and we know it. In-office days and hours are dependent on department and business needs, so as long as you're honest about your needs, we will do what we can to support when things pop up.

Annual Bonus Potential: 7% - Eligibility is based on the company hitting annual financial targets.

Hourly Rate: $30.00 - $40.00

Note: New hires typically receive between minimum and midpoint, however, we may go slightly higher based on experience, internal equity and market.

  • Plan an annual rhythm of the business for employee experience, working with the CE&E leadership team to identify activities, activations, events and experiences that drive employee engagement, and fit in the annual business calendar.

  • Drive the tone and content of employee messaging with the CE&E leadership team, including the Culture Connect program, campus signage, campus TV content and flyers, cultural touchpoints, internal campaigns and communications, aligned with the TR brand, voice, and direction.

  • Manage on-campus Rain Maker event communications with CE&E leadership team, to build company culture and community, including but not limited to the corporate events and product launches such as summer BBQ, campus 5k, Thanksgiving, Employee Appreciation Day, building events, and the Winter Bazaar.

  • Manage the Rain Maker 101 program, working with the Onboarding Manager to create a seamless employee onboarding and cultural immersion program to welcome new Rain Makers to Talking Rain. Manage presenters, scheduling, scripting, presentations, activities, vendors and experiences during the quarterly RM101 sessions.

  • Craft copy aligned to our corporate voice and audience needs for internal and external communications in support of the Rain Maker and community experience. Includes social media posts/responses, press releases, internal email web and intranet copy.

  • Provide copy editing, editorial advice and support.

  • Oversee the intake, prioritization, and execution of communication requests across multiple stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery and impact.

  • Track communications engagement metrics to optimize communication strategies and enhance efficiency.

  • Manage vendors and vendor performance for reception (including maintenance of the company phone tree), South Fork (RM101) and others as required to ensure quality employee experience.

  • Manage Plant and Warehouse employee programs to build community and inclusion among our hourly workers.

  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience planning, building and managing employee experiences, events and activities, ideally in organizations over 450 people and with wide geographical footprint, or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of 3 years writing and editorial experience, preferably in a corporate communications environment, or equivalent experience.

  • Strong proficiency with LinkedIn.

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), Canva.

  • Strong organization and planning skills. Excellent attention to detail.

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills. Clear communicator and collaborator.

  • Ability to build and maintain rapport and trust by building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, and agency vendors.

  • Ability to pivot quickly in response to business needs, support crisis communications, and adapt messaging strategies in real-time.

  • Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, occasionally working evenings and weekends for special assignments or events.

  • Ability to travel locally, occasionally working evenings and weekends as needed for special assignments.

Please note, eligibility for our full benefits package is based on an average of 30+ hours per week in regular (not temporary) positions.
