The Employee Engagement Coordinator Manufacturing will be a leading member of a team that works to build employee awareness of new technologies and innovative treatments.

Ensure growth and engagement of employees, and builds community within the cross-functional Penumbra Manufacturing system.

The Employee Engagement Coordinator Manufacturing works closely with Manufacturing Leadership, Training Operations, Marketing, and vendors to plan and execute logistics for on-site and off-site Manufacturing team engagement and team building events.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination of logistics for on-site off-site events, including attendance/participation in applicable trade shows, employee training events and any other on-site or off-site events as needed to foster growth and employee engagement.

  • Communicate and maintain timelines and priorities for projects and events.

  • Consult with stakeholders to determine event objectives and requirements

  • Travel to and supervise events and provide operational support from set up to dismantling.

  • Promote new ideas and concepts for trainings, activities, and events designed to ensure proper brand messaging and visual presence.

  • Plan and maintain schedule of events, trainings, and meetings to ensure even distribution of engagement efforts across all sites and shifts of Manufacturing.

  • Regularly audit schedule of events to check for on-time execution and financial accuracy throughout the year.

  • Manage all on-site conference logistics and assist with restaurant and conference room bookings as needed.

  • Maintain relationships with vendors, exhibition houses, industry partners, local colleges and universities, and other organizations for collaboration and hosting events.

  • Research and provide recommendations to optimize event locations and evaluate alternatives and availability

  • Ensure any Penumbra staffed booths for engagement events are adequately staffed, and all booth property and materials are secure.

  • Provide budgets and cost analysis on event spend for accurate forecasts and reconciliation.

  • Work with Manufacturing managers to finalize department brand messaging and ensure all deliverables are met per deadlines.

  • Manage portable display logistics for all regional meetings and communicate accordingly with local personnel to ensure appropriate attendance.

  • Engage with internal teams, on their shifts, providing assistance with on-site teams at engagement events.

  • Craft messaging and assist in pre-event and post-event communications.

  • Drive appropriate messaging of events on the Mfg Hub, online Manufacturing team portal.

  • Work closely with finance to track all payments related to vendors.

  • Adhere to the Company's Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.

  • Understands relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adheres to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company.

  • Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.

  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Strong writing skills, with excellent attention to detail, including grammar, spelling, and math.

  • Strong spreadsheet, presentation, and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to maintain flexibility when priorities and deadlines shift

  • Experience with event planning and social media marketing

  • Ability to accomplish goals working through formal and informal channels, with diplomacy and tactfulness

Working Conditions

  • General office and warehouse environments

  • Willingness and ability to work on site. Business travel from 50%+

  • Potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens

  • Requires some lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds

  • Must be able to move between buildings and floors.

  • Must be able to remain stationary and use a computer or other standard office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine, for an extensive period of time each day.

  • Must be able to read, prepare emails, and produce documents and spreadsheets.

  • Must be able to move within the office and access file cabinets or supplies, as needed.

  • Must be able to communicate and exchange accurate information with employees at all levels on a daily basis.

Starting Base Salary is $67,000 - $90,000

We offer a competitive compensation package plus a benefits and equity program, when applicable. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
