As a member of the Global Employee Communications & Engagement Team, you will work cross-functionally to communicate to and engage employees. As an Employee Communications & Engagement Specialist, you will collaborate with internal thought leaders and subject matter experts to effectively communicate important internal topics supporting our distinctive company culture. We're looking for great communicators who can understand complex issues and explain them in a way that both informs and engages our employees.

As an Employee Communications & Engagement Specialist, you will be part of a team that creates and manages internal communication, meetings, and events. We are looking for passionate, creative, and intellectually curious people that are eager to work within a fast-paced environment.

To succeed in this role you will need to be able to combine creativity with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. Communication campaigns include e-newsletters, live broadcast meetings, interactive social media, targeted emails, presentations, storytelling campaigns, global events, videos, companywide contests, intranet articles, and more. We will look for active participation in researching and presenting innovative ideas to help improve how we do our jobs at PTC.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

  • Excellent project management and organization skills, including event management

  • Proven writing and editing skills for a variety of media

  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, including a desire to collaborate with immediate team members, cross-functional stakeholders, and influencers at all levels of the organization

  • Effective problem solving and program/time management skills, with the ability to independently track multiple projects and deadlines

  • Proactive and self-motivated within a deadline-driven environment

  • 3 years of experience in a related field

Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree in journalism, communications, business or a related field or equivalent experience

  • Strong computing skills in Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint

  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite and video editing a plus

Job Description Position Summary This full-time position provides overall office administrative support to the practice and serves as a resource to the Advisor and client/members in handling, researching and communicating inquiries regarding their accounts. This fast-paced position requires excellent attention to detail and organization skills as well as the ability to take the client service processes to the next level of effectiveness and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a driven individual who wants to be part of achieving goals and growing in the business. Position Roles/Responsibilities/Accountabilities * Guide clients through our financial planning process, including scheduling all appointments, gathering client information, inputting information into financial planning software, utilizing various software tools for case analysis, preparing presentation materials, and communicating status with the client * You will be the first point of contact for members/clients in-person and on the phone * Serve as the primary point of contact for clients through the financial planning process, setup of investment accounts/insurance contracts, and ongoing client service * Assist with preparation of investment proposals or insurance illustrations as directed by Advisor * Maintain calendar and coordinate client appointments according to a prescribed schedule; utilize phone, e-mail or other automated means to streamline the scheduling process * Prepare and execute paperwork for financial planning, investment accounts, and insurance contracts, including transfers of existing accounts; provide daily tracking or project status by communicating with the home office and other third parties, and keep the client informed of the progress on their accounts * Populate and maintain accurate client data in CRM software and other data systems; develop and prepare reports to ensure adherence to a robust client service model * Research inquiries regarding client accounts and perform account actions that do not require Advisor approval (processing deposits and withdrawals, providing account balances, executing investment trades, making beneficiary changes, etc.) * Develop, implement and monitor procedures, policies or standards in client service model processes * Conduct substantive research or information gathering that will be used with making securities product recommendations or providing investment advice * Collaborate with the home office to maintain and follow up on pending business and requirements, etc. to keep the business moving forward * Handle and properly document sensitive communications with client/members, and respond in an effective and timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction * Coordinate support of client events, workshops, seminars, and Action Team volunteer opportunities Position Qualifications * The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills as you will be communicating with members and prospects * Extremely strong organizational skills and attention to detail * Basic understanding of investment and insurance products * Strong experience in customer-facing and client-service roles * Series 7 and 66 securities licenses preferred, or willingness to obtain within a year * Life, health and accident insurance license preferred, or willingness to obtain within a year * Previous financial industry experience strongly preferred * Excellent computer and technology skills with strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Office and web-based applications, and the ability to learn new applications quickly and independently * Experience with industry-specific computer applications (SalesForce, Morningstar, Wealthscape, MoneyGuide Pro) is a plus Ability to maintain integrity of sensitive/confidential information Traits we Value * You have a strong work ethic; prompt, dependable - professional and personal integrity * You embrace and incorporate exemplary customer service to the client * You are aligned by Thrivent's unique mission * You desire a long-term career filled with excellence and job satisfaction As part of the recruiting/hiring/contracting process, a verification of a candidate's background will be made to complete the process.
