Summary:

A well-established, community-focused financial institution with a rich history seeks an experienced Employee Benefits Team Lead to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a skilled professional with a passion for fostering client relationships, a deep understanding of group benefits, and a proven ability to lead and inspire a team.

Responsibilities:

• Portfolio Management: Manage a book of business valued at approximately $700,000, consisting of middle to large size employer group benefit accounts.

• Team Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and training to a team of Employee Benefits Account Managers. Oversee team workflows, delegate tasks, and monitor performance.

• Client Service: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded. Collaborate with clients to create comprehensive benefit plans that align with their unique objectives.

• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the team's workflow, utilizing technology and best practices. Ensure optimal utilization of the agency management system.

• Agency Collaboration: Cultivate positive relationships with insurance carriers and other industry partners.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of experience in Employee Benefits Account Management or a related field. Supervisory experience highly preferred.

• Industry Knowledge: Extensive understanding of group health insurance, ancillary benefits, and relevant regulations (ACA, ERISA, etc.).

• Independent Agency Background: Experience working within an independent insurance agency environment is strongly preferred.

• Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and leadership skills. Proficient with agency management systems.
