About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Employee Benefits Growth Lead to take on the role of driving growth and revenue for our organization's Employee Benefits sector. This senior-level position will collaborate closely with the Head of Growth and executive team members to develop and execute growth strategies that align with our organizational goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Employee Benefits industry and a proven track record of expanding business within this sector.

Responsibilities:

Growth Strategy Development:

  • Collaborate with the Practice Leader and executive team to develop comprehensive growth strategies specific to the Employee Benefits sector within the employee benefits practice.

  • Identify and prioritize growth opportunities in alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Work in partnership with the Head of Operations to develop service center business approach to ensure efficient and effective growth focus for the Employee Benefits practice.

New Business Development:

  • Prospect, identify, and cultivate new client relationships within the Employee Benefits industry.

  • Leverage existing networks and industry knowledge to uncover business prospects and convert leads into clients.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients in the Employee Benefits sector.

  • Act as a trusted advisor, understanding their needs and providing tailored employee benefits solutions.

Partnership Development:

  • Collaborate with potential partners and stakeholders in the Employee Benefits industry to explore joint ventures, alliances, and co-marketing opportunities.

  • Develop strategic partnerships that enhance our capabilities and market presence.

Market Expansion:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape in the Employee Benefits sector.

  • Identify opportunities to expand our service offerings or geographic reach.

Revenue Growth:

  • Develop and execute strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets for the Employee Benefits sector.

  • Track and report progress on revenue growth initiatives.

  • Encouraged to grow the production within the entire region within given specialty.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure alignment with growth strategies.

  • Provide insights and market feedback to support product and service development.

  • Desire to mentor new and existing producers within the specialty and how to close new opportunities.

Client Education:

  • Keep clients informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in employee benefits within the Employee Benefits sector.

  • Conduct client presentations and workshops as needed.

Requirements:

  • Book of business within specialty/experience within specialty preferred.

  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop teams.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with an eye for process optimization.

  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements in the employee benefits landscape.

  • Proven track record of successfully identifying and securing new business opportunities.

  • Deep knowledge of the Employee Benefits industry, including key players, challenges, and trends.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in vendor management, contract negotiation, and budget management.

  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align operational efforts with broader organizational goals.

  • Travel up to 25%

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred, or equitable experience

  • Minimum 10 years of technical employee benefits insurance experience

  • Minimum 5 years successfully leading a team

  • Health and Life license required
