The Employee Benefits Account Manager will support the Account Executive and Producer in all aspects of client services with the ability to develop strong working relationships with both clients and carriers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conducts all marketing efforts as assigned by department
Prepares client meeting material in partnership with AE
Peer reviews client deliverables for which skill level is appropriate
Develop employee benefit guides for client to communicate the following annual renewal changes, enrollment procedures and benefit changes
Facilitate onsite client open enrollment or health fairs
Provide resolution support and oversight of employee issues such as enrollment, claims, and billing issues
Determine when AE/Practice Lead involvement is necessary in problem resolution
Meets with clients in conjunction with Account Executive or Practice Lead according to standardized client meeting schedules
Supports client diligence projects, as appropriate
Reviews agreements and/or documents such as, carrier contracts, benefit summaries, etc.
Coordinate broker of record letters with carriers and request policies, rate history, renewal material and commission agreements
Assist AE in new client onboarding process including carrier involvement, communications campaign, employee correspondence, implementing and adhering to a project timeline, communicating program specific to client and information exchange (file transfers, enrollment systems, etc.)
Data entry and updates of internal and external databases
New client and renewal data entry into benchmarking tools
Directly coordinates department outsourcing solutions with third party solutions
Attendance of department meetings, education workshops, carrier sponsored lunch and learns and company sponsored social events
Pursues professional designations, as appropriate
Special projects as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
1-3 years' experience in the insurance industry, specifically in the employee benefits area is required
Demonstrated professional skills to achieve objectives
Proficient in the use of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) or similar software applications
Strong project management and organizational skills
Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to develop sound relationships with multiple clients
Ability to interact with vendors effectively
Ability to prioritize responsibilities
Good working knowledge of financial arrangements and products available to clients
Ability to communicate effectively with clients and fellow employees
Some travel may be required
Hybrid if in St. Louis. Open to remote candidates in CST or EST timezones
