The Employee Advocate provides an exceptional user experience to our clients' employees. As part of the team, you will find innovative solutions for any issues related to employee benefits and retirement planning, as well as provide education on health benefits and perks programs to client employees.

What You Get To Do

  • Manage benefit service lines for multiple client accounts and resolve employee questions efficiently

  • Provide education to client employees on benefits and perks, retirement planning issues, Sequoia tech tools, etc.

  • Act as a resource and advocate for client employees with claims management cases

  • Assist employees with navigation of Sequoia's three client web portals and mobile app

  • Prepare quarterly reports and attend review meetings with clients

  • Help build out knowledge center and FAQs

  • Participate in process improvement activities as needed


  • At least 1 year of direct experience in a client service environment

  • Passion for delivering exceptional client service

  • Proven experience in a customer service role taking multiple phone calls and managing high volume email inquiries

  • Ability to navigate through various web tools and phone to communicate instructions effectively

  • Must be a listener and a good problem solver

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to perform research to solve issues

  • Human resources/benefits and Salesforce experience preferred

  • Bachelor's degree required

Your Impact: * Provide strategic input to key recruitment and admissions opportunities. Support the sales team with coaching and expertise during in-person/virtual meetings and events to facilitate recruitment and admissions-related conversations. * Interface with current customers to nurture references and drive best practices. * Closely partner with other members of the product and strategy team by translating market requirements and identifying areas of opportunity to develop our broader Recruitment and Admissions solution strategy and collaborate with the go-to-market teams on positioning and distribution. * Lead discussions, collaboration and strategic alignment with key implementation and application partners. * Work with Salesforce.org Alliances team to nurture key recruitment and admissions capabilities and expertise. * Coordinate strategic, high-impact regional recruitment and admissions events. * Raise awareness of the Salesforce.org brand and recruitment and admissions solution set by attending broader go-to-market events such as Dreamforce, Higher Education Summit, and Recruitment and Admissions industry conferences (NACAC, AACRAO, etc). * Review inbound RFP opportunities with a cross-functional team to align on go/no-go decision and advise on how our partners and solutions should be positioned. * Develop a larger community of recruitment and admissions Trailblazers in alignment with the Higher Education Advisory Committee (HEAC). * Enrich our thought leadership in recruitment and admissions by contributing to regular blogs, webinars and other executive leadership gatherings (e.g. CIO Council, Higher Education Advisory Council). * Co-lead sales enablement activities such as the development of pitch decks, certification processes, sales kick-off training, etc. * Work globally with the EMEA team to develop a regional strategy in emerging and growth markets. Critical Skills: * 10+ years working with university recruitment and admissions leadership * High energy, enthusiasm, and passion for the business.
