Our client company specializes in healthcare insurance, benefits, and risk management services. They simplify the business for their customers, which range from local businesses to large, well-known corporations.
The Employee Advocate is responsible for directly communications with our clients' employee population, ensuring client expectations are met, and providing support to our clients' employees.
This is a temporary position that pays $14 an hour!
Responsibilities of the Employee Advocate:
Answering inbound/outbound calls related to Health & Welfare throughout most of the work day.
Following up on calls that need additional assistance or have been escalated to Tier 2 or 3.
Using available resources (call center worker instructions, Knowledge System and other client process materials), researching, and identifying required information to resolve customer inquiries.
Using sound judgment to escalate issues that may affect the quality of service, cause technical challenges, or place clients SLA's at risk when necessary.
Partnering with internal team members to ensure that requests are handled appropriately and timely.
Routing calls to appropriate carriers as required by client specific processes.
Recognizing, documenting, and communicating reoccurring problems/trends to the appropriate supervisor as needed.
Participating in client specific, Open Enrollment (OE), on-going events, and training sessions organized by the training department such as meetings, mentoring, and peer feedback.
Participating in reviews of processes and procedures creating efficiencies and best practices.
Working from 11:30am to 8:00pm.
Performing other duties or special projects as assigned.

Requirements:
High school diploma/GED (college degree preferred)
Minimum of 1 year of experience with customer service or a call center, with demonstrated ability to deliver superior customer service
Exposure to employee benefit plans preferred
Experience within a third-party administration, benefits brokerage, health and welfare consulting, health care, or insurance is highly preferred
Pays great attention to detail and maintains accuracy
Excellent troubleshooting, decision making, and problem-solving skills
Solid interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Works well independently and as a part of a team
Highly organized with strong multitasking, analytical, and prioritizing skills
Proficient PC user with experience in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Aptitude for learning internal systems, applications and internal work flow of the department;
Bilingual a plus!
