Emotional Support, Special Education Teacher- High School -Anticipated 2024-2025

The Neshaminy School District, located in Lower Bucks County is seeking a Special Education Teacher for our Emotional Support program at Neshaminy High School for the 2024-2025 school year. Qualifications for the available opportunities include current PA certification in Special Education with certification K-12. A secondary cert in math or english is also required.

The teacher will be responsible for the following:
Instruction in math courses (9th-12th) or English courses (9th-12th) to students in the emotional support program
Knowledge of evidence-based instructional practices for secondary students needing emotional support programming
Direct social-emotional instruction to students in the emotional support program ongoing social/emotional/behavioral support to the students in the emotional support program
Development and implementation of IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans for a caseload of students with varying degrees of need.
Daily collaboration with emotional support teacher colleagues and Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Experience educating students with emotional needs is preferred.
