Position Description

  • Directs the management team in facility operations and communicates with both management and hourly associates about facility operations, merchandising, and company direction.

  • Drives sales in the Facility

  • Drives the financial performance of the Facility

  • Ensures compliance with Company policies and procedures

  • Initiates, directs, and participates in community outreach programs, and encourages and supports Associates and managers in serving as good members of the community, including establishing and maintaining relationships with key individuals or groups in the community as the representative for the Company, presenting the Company's perspective to various external organizations following the Company's media guidelines, and championing Company-sponsored programs, events, and sustainability efforts to Associates, Customers, and the local community in order to emphasize the Facility as part of the community.

  • Models, enforces, and provides direction and guidance to hourly Associates and managers on proper Customer service approaches and techniques to ensure Customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved within Company guidelines and standards.

  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for management and hourly Associates in the Facility

  • Upholds the Company's Open Door Policy

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years experience supervising 20 or more associates/employees to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

  • 2 years general management experience to include financial accountability.

  • For facilities that sell firearms, I acknowledge that the position for which I am applying will require successful completion of a firearms- specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.

  • For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state specific requirements, I acknowledge that the position for which I am applying may require a current state issued Certificate of Eligibility.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 or more years experience running a fresh or dry grocery area.
  • 4 or more years experience supervising 50 or more associates/employees to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
  • 4 or more years general management experience to include financial accountability.

VIEW JOBS 12/4/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-04T00:00 Chester County Hospital is seeking a full time, day shift, Phlebotomist to collect blood samples at our Kennett Square and our Southern Chester County Laboratory. The position will rotate weekly between each facility and hours are 7 am to 3:30 pm or 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Our Kennett Square facility includes oncology service and general outpatients. The Southern Chester County facility services a general outpatient population. Position requires weekend rotation Saturday mornings 8 am to 12 noon at Southern Chester County and holiday rotation at the hospital. Strong phlebotomy and communication skills are required. Experience with EPIC and Sunquest systems preferred. The laboratory at Penn Medicine Chester County is state of the art with excellent equipment, a knowledgeable staff and a pleasant environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities 1. Introduces self when interacting with patients, families, visitors or other employees Demonstrates respect for patient, visitor and employee privacy and confidentiality. Communicates clearly, directly and in a professional manner. Provides information/facts accurately, completely and in a timely manner. Appropriate telephone etiquette demonstrated 2. Correctly identifies outpatients and inpatients according to approved protocols with 100% accuracy. Properly labels specimens with 100% accuracy. Accurately processes both blood and non-blood specimens: checks specimen type for appropriateness and proper labeling. Reviews all outpatient orders and accurately perform order entry in the outpatient setting and assure tests are properly collected. 3. Draws all timed/ scheduled samples in a timely manner. Returns stat inpatient specimens to the laboratory within 10 minutes of collection. Sends morning rounds specimens in pneumatic tube as soon as possible. 4. Demonstrates proficiency with a variety of collection techniques: venipuncture and capillary blood. Properly prepares patient before and after collection; explains procedures in a courteous and professional manner, makes patient feel at ease, prepares site, executes proper after-care Performs specimen receipt on all specimens. Operates centrifuges and aliquots specimens as indicated without delay. Produce copies of records/results for patients with valid release documentation.
