We are seeking skilled and compassionate Emergency Veterinary Technicians to join our team and are seeking like minded individuals to fill the role and join our Emergency team.
Responsibilities:
Assessing and triaging emergency cases
Providing emergency treatments and stabilizing critical patients per DVM orders
Assisting DVM during emergency procedures
Administering medications and treatments as prescribed the DVM
Monitoring vital signs and providing nursing care to patients
Communicating with clients and providing updates on patients' conditions
Maintaining accurate medical records and updating patient charts
Assisting in sedated and anesthesia procedures as needed
Assist DVM in basic restraint of patients during examinations, procedures, and treatments
Maintain patient husbandry standards by cleaning and sanitizing kennels, cages, and equipment
Assist with diagnostic procedures such as radiographs and laboratory tests
Maintain accurate records of patient information and treatment plans
Perform blood draw and IV catheter placement
Requirements
Hold a valid CA RVT License
High school diploma required; Associates in Veterinary Science or Veterinary Technology preferred
Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Veterinary Technician
Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine, emergency procedures, anesthesia, and pharmacology
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
Must be able to multi-task and pay attention to detail
Must be able to problem solve
Must be able to work in a team as a positive team player

Pay Range
