Part Time with Benefits
The emergency technician role is a vital component of care delivery in the fast-paced emergency department setting. The emergency technician is responsible for patient care tasks such as taking vital signs, starting IVs, performing wound care, fitting orthopedic devices, performing EKGs and much more.
In addition, the tech role focuses on room stocking, patient transport and promoting department flow by cleaning and preparing patient rooms. Care is provided to patients of all ages and presenting with symptoms ranging from ear infections to cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Those seeking to develop critical thinking and prioritization skills within health care will find success in this role, and only those with excellent customer service skills should consider applying to become part of our high functioning team.
Minimum licensure as EMT or above with preference for advanced EMTs.
Current BLS certification is required for the role
Telemetry certification is preferred but not required; training must be completed within 12 months of employment.
