REPORTS TO: Housing Manager

SUPERVISES: None

STATUS: Nonexempt

SCHEDULE: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:30a to 4:00p Tuesday and Thursday 12:30p 8:00p

FUNCTION: Provide case management services to families with children who are living in TSA emergency shelter, or who have recently experienced homelessness. The goal is to assist families with obtaining permanent housing, accessing supportive services, and/or retaining housing.

ResponsibilitiesConduct intake and assessments for clients seeking admittance to the Emergency Home.Assist clients in developing skills needed to obtain and maintain permanent housing.Cultivate existing relationships and develop new relationships with landlords and property managers.Identify barriers to housing, facilitate connection to community resources to address barriers.Document all relevant interaction with clients in a timely matter utilizing VESTA/HMIS.Provide monthly reports to Housing Manager as requested.Participate in individual supervision, staff development program and peer review seminars.Collaborate with Empowerment Center Mentor to provide a three skills /education groups per week.Provide community based services- home visits, aftercare services, housing searches.Attend weekly shelter program developmental meetings.Provide emergency back-up service for shelter aides.Other duties as requested.Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science or related area orEquivalent combination of experience and trainingA valid driver's license and current auto insurance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Social WorkLicensed Social WorkerTwo years case management experience

Two years working with individuals experiencing homelessness
