Summary

Assists practitioners in daily functions. Provides on-call team support. Assists in patient care. May administer medications in accordance with scope of practice and as delegated by RN or Physician.

Job duties

  • Executes patient care orders as delegated by the RN team leader and within the scope of practice.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

  • Executes patient care orders as delegated by the RN team leader and within the scope of practice.

  • Performs venipuncture, phlebotomy and capillary puncture.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 1 year field experience or equivalent work in an Emergency Department.

  • EMT-P certification from State of Colorado.

  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. (American Red Cross for the Professional Rescuer is only good upon hire and all renewals will need to be through an American Heart Association sanctioned course.) .) ACLS through the American Heart Association with card in-hand before start date, and current AHA ACLS must be good through sixty days of hire
