Position Summary
The Emergency Services Representative is an ideal intermediate level opportunity responsible for the clerical aspects of Emergency Department operations. If you are a service-oriented individual with the ability to respond to patients and families with sympathy, respect, and understanding, this could be a perfect position for you.
Responsibilities
You will provide support through patient registration, clinical order processing, medical record maintenance, entry, financial counseling, and fee collections
You will serve as the focal point for department communications and as a resource for patients and families
You will perform in accordance with infection control procedures and patient care unit standards
You will regularly utilize independent decision-making capacities and strong interpersonal skills
Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent preferred
Completion of Unit Secretary (Unit Coordinator) vocational training course preferred
Minimum one (1) year of previous patient care or currently enrolled in clinical education program preferred
Minimum one (1) year of equivalent clerical experience in a medical setting preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $20.16 - $30.69 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
