Position Summary The Emergency Room Technician (ERT) is responsible to assist the professional staff by performing various care activities and related noncomplex services necessary in caring for the needs of the patient and family. The ERT will be responsible for the delivery of care as directed by the Department Director, Charge Nurse, or RN, and maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. The ERT should strive to incorporate the vision and mission statement of the hospital and incorporate the goal of quality care in a personal manner with total regard for individual human dignity.


EDUCATION:


#High School Graduate or equivalent. BLS, Emergency Medical Technician # Basic, CPI training required.


EXPERIENCE:


##Prior Certification for EMT-B required and/or a minimum of 3 years previous Emergency Room Technician experience.
