Primary scheduled hours:Full Time position that includes 24 hour shifts variable days ( 5-6 shifts a month)
Job Summary:
Emergency Room Physician (ER Physician) performs a medical screening examination on every patient presenting to the Emergency Room (ER) requesting treatment, without discrimination, including but not limited to their ability to pay. As medically appropriate, render stabilizing and other medically necessary diagnosis and treatment to patients in need of professional care and transfer, refer, or coordinate admission of patients through other members of the Medical Staff. Provide response and emergency treatment at the request of nursing staff regarding cardiac arrest or other emergencies. Promptly complete and sign appropriate medical records and other medical documentation required for each patient.

24 bed Rural Community Hospital
15 providers Rural Health Clinic
72 bed, high level care, Advanced Assisted Living Facility
42 apartment; low-moderate care level Assisted Living Facility

Education Background and Experience
Minimum Education:
Degree in Medicine from an Accredited Medical School
Required Licensure / Certifications:
Active Washington State Medical License and DEA
Board Certification/Board eligible
Required Experience:
5 years of residency training in Emergency medicine
ACLS certification
Preferred Qualifications:
3 years of experience practicing as Emergency Provider
Professional Requirements
Maintain regulatory requirements.
Report to work on time and as scheduled; complete work within designated timelines.
Demonstrates the ability to adhere to the mission, ethics and goals of the District.
Demonstrates the ability to communicate with patients, guests and staff in a courteous, respectful and helpful manner.
Essential Job Functions
Assessing patients who enter the emergency room immediately and overseeing emergency recovery.
Conducting follow-up visits to monitor patient's condition.
Requesting the appropriate medical tests and based on them, following a treatment plan.
Referring patients to appropriate specialists.
Ensuring that patients are stable before transferring them out of the department.
Providing discharge instructions and any other relevant paperwork.
