The Role Vanguard Resources, Inc., a facilities management company corporate headquartered in the beautiful Texas hill country area of Spring Branch, TX seeks a Hospital Facilities & Safety Director for one of our client locations in HIALEAH, FLORIDA. This key role reports to and works collaboratively with the Vanguard Resources leadership team while also supporting the medical center leadership team. This position will plan, organize, supervise, coordinate and control the activities of the plant operations and maintenance functions which are necessary to maintain the physical structures (HVAC, mechanical, electrical systems, utility systems and grounds) of this facility in an operative and safe working condition. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and participates in CQI activities. Ensures and evaluates the competency of all staff. Assists in formulating the budget. Maintains efficient and effective department operation while requiring compliance with all regulatory agencies, state, federal and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols. The position reports to the Regional Director. The role will provide ongoing customer service and issues management for all accounts to ensure continued strength and retention of client facility relationships and to maintain/grow referral volume. You will routinely visit each facility and key contacts there to promptly address concerns, ensure all regulatory compliance, identify service opportunities and assess performance/service satisfaction. The position also is responsible for Safety, Life Safety and Emergency Management programs in order to maintain a clean and safe environment for all patients, residents, visitors and personnel. Education, Training, and Minimum Qualifications Required * Bachelor degree preferred, minimum of an associate degree (AA) or equivalent degree from two (2) year college or technical school; or 5 to 10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience * 5-7+ years experience leading a POM staff * Must complete and/or take all required health screenings and vaccines as required by the medical facility * Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience in an acute care -(hospital) setting * Minimum five (5) years experience with Life Safety, Emergency Management, Joint Commission, and Environment of Care required * Must have minimum of five (5) years experience with MEP, POM, construction, and project management experience Physical Demands and Working Conditions: While performing the duties of the Director, Plant Operations and Maintenance, the employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; and talk or hear.
