Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia's capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance.

Reynolds Community College is currently in need of multiple Lab Instructors/preceptors to be able to conduct/facilitate labs and tutoring for students in the college's Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Program for Paramedic and/or EMT students. Lab instructors will be assigned based on certification level to student open labs and as instructional assistants during lab/skill learning/practice days. Some administrative duties are required for this position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Paramedic Lab Instructor: Working knowledge of course content and effective teaching strategies.
Demonstrated experience through academic preparation, training and experience to teach the courses or topics to which they are assigned, High School diploma or equivalent. Nationally Registered Paramedic, and/or VA -Paramedic Certification or higher with 3-5 years progressive field experience in the emergency setting or equivalent. Teaching experience preferred.
EMT Lab Instructor: Knowledgeable in course content and effective in teaching their assigned subjects, and capable through academic preparation, training and experience to teach the courses or topics to which they are assigned, at the EMT Certification level.
High school diploma or equivalent. Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician, VA EMT Certification or higher, with 1-3 years progressive field experience in the emergency setting. Education Coordinator and/or teaching experience is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Virginia Education Coordinator (EC) certification. ACLS, PHTLS, AMLS, PALS/EPC Certification or Instructor. NAEMSE
