Our Dispatchers are expected to:

  • Be a team player , as EMS is a team effort, and providers must provide necessary assistance to ensure system readiness and adherence to quality assurance standards.

  • Be flexible as emergency services operate on a 24-hour clock - your work shift schedule may vary due to the nature of the business.

  • Coordinate the Work and Activities of EMTs.

  • Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner at all times when dealing with patients, co-workers, supervisors and or the public.

  • Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls in CAD system.

  • Provide top tier customer service to medical facilities, the public, and our EMTs.

  • Gather patient billing information and appropriate billing signatures.

  • Roll up your sleeves and get things done!

  • Maintain professional demeanor in office and while on the phone with customers.

  • Dispatch ambulances to scheduled runs to ensure appropriate medical level of transport care to area facilities.

  • Intakes a large call volume, triages to determine appropriate level of care and coordinate transport.

Were looking for dispatchers with the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • Proven experience as a dispatcher in a relevant field (EMS/ Clinical background is preferred)

  • Tech-savvy with knowledge of computer aided dispatch software (CAD)

  • Fast typing with experience in data entry

  • Knowledge of procedures and guideline for emergency situations

  • Proficient in English (oral and written)

  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Active listener with excellent communication skills

  • Sound judgement and critical thinking

  • Preferred - Emergency medical technician training and certification

This position is under the close direction of a Branch Manager. The selected candidate will perform a variety of duties associated with the dispatching functions in order to provide prompt and efficient service to our customers. There will be frequent contact with Branch employees and constant contact with customers and other outside personnel, requiring more than ordinary courtesy and tact to establish and maintain good customer relations. You will have occasional work with confidential data where the effect of any disclosure may have an impact on the business. General Duties: * Answer all incoming telephone service requests and log customer service calls with all pertinent information in system. * Schedule service calls to techs and supply information needed by Service Tech, anddetermine priorities to be assigned to service calls. * Maintain follow up system for parts ordered by Service Techs to ensure complete customer satisfaction per company policies and guidelines. * Maintain Inspection List, Automatic Scale. Wrapper and General Line. * Maintain File of Equipment.This could include calling customers concerning estimates for overhauls, prices for new equipment, and completion of services. * Perform clerical functions, as necessary, such as assisting with tracking of consignment, assisting walk-in customers, shipping/receiving, handling phone calls for supervisor, etc. * Train or cross train other employees as requested. * Follow up on completed service calls to verify customer satisfaction and promote service contracts. * Print out and mail invoices * Do 3rd party billing * Schedule PM's * Prepare quotes for repairs. Minimum Qualifications: * Accredited High School diploma, Business or trade school or GED * 1-2 years of experience * Handle competing/multiple priorities * Computer Skills: Microsoft Office products excel, Word, Outlook * Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Physical Requirements: * Required to sit for prolonged periods of time * Extensive periods of time on phone * Lifting 50-75 lbs with or without assistance * Climbing up to 8 ft with ladder * Kneeling, squatting, bending, pushing/pulling * Exposure to noise, heat, cold, slippery, wet conditions * OT as required If you are a Dispatcher who feels comfortable and confident with the skills mentioned above, please apply today!
