As a member of the Emergency Medical Services team, the Emergency Room#Technician provides direct and indirect patient care through protocols set by FirstHealth of Carolina to maintain safe and effective patient flow in the Emergency Room.# The Emergency Room#Technicians works under the supervision of the Emergency Room Charge Nurse and the medical direction of the ER Physician, and is accountable for providing care within established standards of practice.# The ER Technician maintains required certifications and skills by participation in continuing education, practical skills testing, and the re-certification processes set by the state of North Carolina and FirstHealth.


Qualifications:


Associate#s degree or equivalent from a two -year college or technical school and at least one (1) year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.


####Current North Carolina Emergency Medical Services Paramedic certification

/licensure is required.

####Current American Heart Association

(AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

####Current AHA Advanced Life Support

(ACLS).# AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)#or#current North Carolinas Advance EMT (AEMT) with current certification in BCLS, BTLS, PHTLS, and ACLS. # #
