JOB SUMMARY: EMCOR Government Services has an exciting opportunity to work in a high-profile, mission-critical installation in Northern Virginia. If you have a 1st Class Engineers License or Journeyman HVAC License and want to work with a highly integrated service provider team - with great benefits & advancement opportunities - then look no further! In the Energy Management Controls Systems (EMCS) Technician role you will supervise, troubleshoot and maintain Environmental Management equipment. This will include the surveillance, operating, and controlling or correcting system parameters on utility and building environmental systems (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) connected to EMCS' centralized computer control workstations. You'll have the opportunity to apply your engineering design knowledge and system generated displays to interpret malfunctions or alarms and resolve issues. This position is physically located in Herndon, VA.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI government security clearance
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with the maintenance of site equipment and building structure.
Supervise HVAC Mechanics, HVAC Tour Mechanics, Locksmiths, Plumbers and General Maintenance Workers as directed by management/supervision.
Monitor, operate, and maintain all onsite EMCS systems including electrical/mechanical equipment and building automation systems
Perform preventive maintenance of related equipment and assist with troubleshooting of related equipment.
Supervise &/or assist HVAC Mechanics with the maintenance and repairs of onsite building air systems.
Implement corrective actions and coordinate with supervisor on any deficiencies observed while performing maintenance actions.
Attend meetings with clients/stakeholders and provide assessments, reports, and corrective solutions to onsite EMCS-related issues.
Interact/monitor other contractors, as required.
Execute assigned duties in a safe and professional manner.
Must possess and maintain a 1st Class Engineers License or Journeymen HVAC License
Minimum 7yrs experience in maintenance and repairs on Commercial-Industrial building equipment to include, but not limited to: Chillers =/+500 tons, Pumps, Control Systems, Air Handlers, Cooling Towers, Heat Exchangers, VAV's, VFD's
Practical knowledge of Building Air Systems and related Control Systems.
Ability to read and understand Blueprints, schematics and specifications.
Practical knowledge of Chiller Plant operations and basic knowledge of a refrigerant cycle.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI w/Polygraph government security clearance.
