Embedded Software Engineer

FlexStaff is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our client's team, a leading provider of optical technology within the aerospace and defense industry.

This is a direct-hire, permanent position, onsite in Suffolk County, NY.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, code, test and debug embedded software.

• Design and implement C/C++ Embedded software for primarily ARM cortex Microcontrollers, using the Keil MDK development kit.

• Conduct system level testing, debugging, optimization.

• Experience taking ownership of complex projects, and partnering with higher management to determine the Embedded software specifications and requirements.

• Document and conduct thorough code reviews/walkthrough's. Maintain code and version control.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer science, computer engineering or electronics engineering or equivalent.

• 6+ years of relevant experience.

• Proficient in C/C++.

Preferred experience:

• FPGA/CPLD Programmable logic, VHDL/AHDL/Verilog

• Digital signal processing for noise reduction, filtering, correlation.
