Position Description:
Software Engineer responsible for the design and development of embedded, real-time applications. This position requires a software development background with specific experience in embedded systems, distributed processing, digital signal processing, and modeling & simulation. This position requires direct interface with technical peers, chief engineers, system engineers, and program managers within the company.
Responsibilities:
This job requires the candidate to perform software engineering tasks, inclusive of those identified below, with minimal supervision:
Develop, optimize, and maintain high-performance software solutions using C/C++ and GPU-based acceleration
Develop, optimize, and maintain RF signal processing software on ARM and x86 platforms
Work on the development and implementation of algorithms related to Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
Investigate and resolve software defects and issues, ensuring timely delivery of reliable software solutions
Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in GPU computing, DSP, SDR and related technologies
Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering from an accredited university
Five (5) or more years of experience in similar position
Proven experience in software development using C/C++ and CUDA for GPU programming
Solid understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices
Ability to multi-task in a highly collaborative team environment
Ability to communicate effectively, with an emphasis on verbal and written communication
Strong background in Digital Signal Processing with a focus on algorithm development and optimization
Software Defined Radio experience
Familiarity with other parallel programming models and languages
Knowledge of hardware architectures and low-level programming
Experience with real-time systems and embedded software development
Familiarity with GNU Radio or other SDR frameworks
Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time
Preferences:
Current DoD Top Secret SCI Security Clearance
Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering from an accredited university
Salary Range: $109,228 - $178,614 /year
