Develop core low-level/complex device drivers with interfaces and configurations as building blocks using embedded C programming for re-usable across multiple platforms.
Implement control algorithms using Assembly and C programming languages
Follow MISRA C guidelines in developing embedded software.
Develop detailed software design documentation and reference guidelines.
Develop software unit test cases and execute according to software unit test plan.
Develop software integration test cases and execute according to software integration test plan.
Participate in software requirement, software design and code reviews
Attend customer meetings as required.
B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electronics Engineering with 3+ years of software development experience using C and assembly programming for embedded controllers
Hands-on experience in SW development for vehicle communication protocols such as CAN/CANFD, LIN and SPI including experience using serial communication tools.
Working experience of HAL or HWIO design, Low level driver design, development of complex drivers for both on-chip microcontroller and ASIC peripherals.
Knowledge of layered software architectures and design of Interface layers. Ability to make changes in architecture for new variants.
Knowledge of RTE configurations to build AUTOSAR standardized architecture.
Experience in developing software work products by following ASPICE process ensuring software implementation plans are aligned to testing and release plans.
Ability to interpret circuit schematics for IO processing and configurations
Strong "hands-on" Embedded controller OS (OSEK-RTOS) design and software testing experience
Working knowledge of MISRA C and ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements
Experience in using Embedded software and hardware tools
Change and configuration management tools: IBM-DOORs, IBM-RTC, JIRA, TortiseSVN.
Software IDE/Cross-compilers: IAR embedded workbench, Greenhills (GHS)
Software debuggers such as Renesas-E1, Greenhills-MULTI, Lauterbach-Trace32
Software code review tools such as Smart Bear Code Collaborator for systematic examination of the developed source code
Software testing: LDRA Unit and Integration test tools
Software quality: LDRA static analysis for MISRA compliance
Hardware (Micro-controllers): Renesas RH850, NXP, Infineon
Hardware testing: Scope, logic analyzers, SPI-bus monitor
Hardware/Software communication: Vector CANalyzer/CANoe, Labview, Flash programmer
Motor controls software development experience (permanent magnet brushed DC motors, DC stepper motors etc)
Understanding of safety critical systems design
Understanding of ASPICE/V-Cycle software development process
