The Boeing Company is looking for a Software Engineer that is located in St. Louis, Mo.
The F-18 program is seeking engineers to staff emerging needs in the areas of Mission System software engineering. This team will be responsible to develop mission system software applications from requirements through the delivery to the external customer.
In this role, you will be part of a multi-disciplined team of engineers that take pride in developing, integrating, testing and delivering innovative solutions to a variety of challenging customer needs. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Software development, modeling, simulation, testing, and/or analysis using C, C++, C#, Python, Java, MatLab, VxWorks, Windows, or Linux
Working with customers and other engineers to define requirements, such as understanding and agreeing upon the function of software Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems
Develops and maintains code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system
Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met
Supports software project management and software supplier management functions. Selects, tailors and deploys processes and tools; establishes metrics
Performs software research and trade studies. Troubleshoots software issues. Works under general supervision
As a Software Engineer you will work with a team in a casual but professional environment where there is long-term potential for career growth into technical leadership or management positions
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
Required Qualifications:
Ability to obtain US Security clearance (post-start)
Prior experience developing software in C++
Experience working in an Agile Software Development environment
Experience in Software Architecture/Development
Real-time embedded software development
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing on the Linux platform, VxWorks, Window
Experience with C, C++, C#, Python, openGL, .net, Java, MatLab, or Linux
Experience with real-time embedded software development
Experience working with and/or developing software requirements/test methodology
Prior working knowledge or experience with Service Oriented Architecture
