We are looking for talented systems integration and test engineers with experience in machine learning to enable embedded deep learning.   • Your responsibility will be to plan, measure and provide feedback on the quality Machine learning tools developed by the team.

  • You will also validate the performance and accuracy of the engine through detailed analysis and test coverage, and drive algorithm improvement for optimizing automotive specific ML workloads and networks.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required and must be able to work well with others in a technical environment.

Required Skills:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 1+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Python, etc.

Preferred Skills:

  • Good at software development with excellent analytical, development, and debugging skills.

  • Coding Skills:Python, C/C++ Strong understanding of Machine Learning fundamentals Deep learning frameworks Caffe, TensorFlow, pytorch.

  • Experience with CNNs, RNN/LSTM neural networks Industrial experience in machine learning, or multimedia areas, or Robotics, or AI.

  • Experience in neural network quantization, compression, pruning algorithms.

  • Experience implementing deep-learning algorithms in a high-level languages/packages (e.g. C++, Java, MATLAB, or Python)

  • Experience in deep learning kernel/compiler optimization Strong communication skills

The position of Sr. Systems Integration Engineer is within our Abbott Rapid Diagnostics business unit located in San Diego, California. This role contributes to the design and development of single-use test devices for rapid in vitro diagnostics (IVDs). This individual works with the project team through multiple design, prototype, and test cycles to evolve the product from concept to qualification. This Engineer/Scientist will be responsible for aiding in the innovation in the space of sample preparation for point-of-care molecular diagnostics. Working with Assay Scientists, Consumable Designers, Manufacturing Engineers and Instrumentation Engineers, they will develop product solutions to extend the test menu on the existing platform and concepts for new platforms with integrated sample preparation. As the development progresses, they will be responsible for design documentation, engineering studies, and design verification protocols/reports in accordance with the governing QMS. The ideal applicant has a strong background in the development of IVDs, either in an academic lab or diagnostics company. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Acts in a systems integration role to ensure the engineering and biochemistry elements of the design are coordinated. * Investigates and evaluates existing technology for application in a product. * Uses fundamental engineering principles to aid in the design and testing of the product. * Conducts feasibility studies of preparation methods to determine ability to function as intended.
