Job Title: Embedded Firmware Engineer

Job Description

The Embedded Firmware Engineer will be responsible for architecting, implementing, and testing firmware solutions primarily targeting high-speed FPGAs and their supporting circuitry. The role also includes assisting design teams with circuit and PCBA design and analysis, embedded processor/microcontroller or SoC designs, technical trade studies, and evaluating technology improvements. Additionally, designing and implementing DSP functions is highly desirable.

Hard Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related discipline

• Experience with embedded Software/Firmware design

• High proficiency with C/C++

• Experience in FPGA system design and test from architecture through implementation

• Familiarity with modern Xilinx FPGA families and design tools (7-series FPGAs, Ultrascale+, Vivado)

• Experience with multiple high-speed serial communication standards and interfaces (e.g., Aurora, 10Ge, PCIe, JESD204B)

• Experience with standard internal interfaces such as AXI4, AXI4-Stream, AXI4-Lite

• Experience developing and implementing FPGA-optimized versions of DSP algorithms

• Experience working with SoC designs such as Zynq and Zynq Ultrascale+

• Experience with VHDL, and TCL

• Working knowledge of digital/analog/mixed signal electronics

• Experience with FPGA PCBA hardware design

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Shalimar, Florida.
