Job Description

As an Embedded Firmware Engineer, you will be reporting directly to our Director of Engineering. Your responsibilities will encompass the design, development, and support for our products, both legacy and new ones using embedded Linux for user interface, communications, data recording and output. You will engage in design analysis and documentation, bug tracking, version and release control. Your expertise will be required in understanding the tradeoffs between hardware and firmware solutions and contributing to the overall system design. We're looking for candidates with a background in device or instrument design. You will also be expected to learn about the core technologies for our products, which include signal acquisition and processing, calibration methods and processes, and other key areas for our robust laser and photomultiplier-based standalone and connected instruments.

Hard Skills

• 5+ years of Linux experience

• Experience in designing products for the market

• Knowledge in firmware, electrical and mechanical implementations for embedded hardware design

• Ability to transition our products to modern communication interfaces (Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth)

• Experience in design analysis and documentation, bug tracking, version and release control

• Familiarity with device or instrument design

• Ability to assemble and test prototypes

• Experience in processing change orders, part number requests, and bills of material
