Title of Position: Welding Technology Faculty Member
Bargaining Unit / Salary Range: MEA Faculty Unit; $48,846.97 - $54,177.05 Dependent upon Qualifications & Experience.
Responsibilities: EMCC is seeking a dynamic and experienced full-time Welding Technology faculty member to join the Welding Department to begin August 19, 2024. The individual selected will join a team of knowledgeable and enthusiastic educators. The successful candidate will demonstrate a solid academic background and welding proficiency for both structural and piping applications for ferrous and non-ferrous base metals. Strong knowledge of metallurgy basics, welding quality control and codes. Safety conscious, strong communication skills and ability to work with a team.
Specific responsibilities include certified competency in:
Minimum Qualifications:
Proficiency in both oxy-fuel and plasma cutting applications.
Industrial Pipefitting proficiency and experience.
A.W.S. Certified D1.1 S.M.A.W. and F.C.A.W. structural.
A.S.M.E. section 9 certified S.M.A.W. and G.T.A.W. Carbon and S.S. Pipe.
5 to 10 years minimum experience in the technical field of welding.
5 Years teaching experience.
State of Maine Professional Teaching certification for High School Level.
A.A.S degree in Welding and / or Pipe fabrication.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree or matriculated into a BS program.
OSHA 30 Certification.
Experience teaching courses at a post-secondary / two-year college level.
Experience with Brightspace or other learning management systems.
