Ellucian Colleague Programmer / Analyst

Transylvania University is seeking a skilled and dedicated Ellucian Colleague Programmer / Analyst to join the Information Technology team. Transylvania University, located in the heart of downtown Lexington, Kentucky, is a top ranked private liberal arts college featuring a community-driven, personalized approach to a liberal arts education. Founded in 1780, it is the 16th oldest institution of higher learning in the country, with approximately 1,000 students.This role will be crucial in supporting and enhancing the university's Ellucian Colleague ERP system. The Programmer / Analyst will work closely with various departments to understand their needs and develop solutions that leverage the capabilities of the Colleague system. This is a fulltime position with occasional evening and weekend work required. Special consideration will be given to those that apply by the deadline but applications will be accepted until the position is filled.Transylvania University is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from individuals of diverse backgrounds.Key Responsibilities: * System Development and Maintenance: * Develop, maintain, and enhance programs and applications within the Ellucian Colleague environment. * Ensure the efficient operation and performance of the Colleague system. * Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the ERP system. * Requirements Analysis and Solution Design: * Collaborate with university departments to gather and analyze business requirements. * Design and implement technical solutions that meet the needs of end-users. * Develop detailed technical specifications and documentation. * Integration and Data Management: * Develop and maintain integrations between Ellucian Colleague and other systems. * Ensure data integrity and consistency across integrated systems. * Perform data analysis and reporting as required. * User Support and Training:*

Provide technical support and training to end-users of the Ellucian Colleague system. * Develop user guides and training materials. * Assist users in maximizing the use and functionality of the ERP system. * System Upgrades and Enhancements: * Participate in the planning and execution of system upgrades and patches. * Test new releases and enhancements to ensure compatibility and functionality. * Work with Ellucian support and other vendors as needed to address system issues. * Project Management: * Manage small to medium-sized projects related to the Ellucian Colleague system. * Develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables. * Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion. * Compliance and Security: * Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and university policies. * Implement and maintain security protocols to protect sensitive data. * Participate in audits and reviews as required.Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. * Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with Ellucian Colleague or a similar ERP system. * Strong programming skills. * Knowledge of database management systems. * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Experience in higher education is a plus..
