Ell/Esl Tutor

The Ravenna School District is hiring an ESL/ELL Tutor for the 2024-2025 School Year.

This position would be approximately 20-25 hours per week at a rate of $29.27 per hour.

The ELL Tutor assignment includes:

• Direct instruction with students whose English is limited

• Consult and collaborate with teachers to support the classroom instruction

• Ability to work cooperatively in multiple school buildings

• Administration of the OELPS -Ohio's English language screening tools (if needed)

• Administration of the OELPA- Ohio's English Language Proficiency Assessment (Spring)

• Communication with parents/guardians about the student's progress working with the teachers and district supervisor.

Requirements: (but not needed at the time of application)

• A criminal background check (current within a year)

• Substitute teaching license through the Ohio Department of Education

• Bachelor's Degree

• TESL experience and working with K-12 student experience preferred.

Mileage Reimbursement based on IRS rate
