Essential Job Duties

  • Works towards building and maintaining a good relationship with the Hospital Administration and Staff to enhance client satisfaction

  • Active involvement in Eligibility Screening Services training opportunities, and work groups, to better teach, demonstrate and evaluate accurate work flow and work product.

  • Ability to accurately analyze and comprehend various reports in various formats

  • Proficiency in State, Federal and Local funding sources in order to correctly identify programs available for patients and evaluate inventory.

  • Becomes Certified in state, local and federal programs as required subject matter expert in programs and processes related to uninsured and underinsured populations

  • Subject matter expert in programs and processes related to uninsured and underinsured populations

  • Notifies appropriate Eligibility Screening Services Leadership of all noteworthy information while on assignment.

  • Ability to independently identify issues and make recommendations for resolutions.

  • Ability to tackle new problems and situations and arrive at proper solutions with minimum guidance.

  • Utilizes the ARTIVA system to the fullest capacity

  • Accurately conduct special audits or projects as requested, submitting results on time and in requested format.

  • Compose assignment reports that are concise, descriptive and complete, and submitted within a timely manner. Report includes purpose of visit, observations, accomplishments, training conducted, operational issues and concerns and client updates.

  • Ensure compliance with Hospital policy and procedures and pertinent laws or regulations

  • Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning the personal, financial, medical, or employment status of patients, their families and staff.

  • Follow accepted safety practices for patients and hospital, report safety hazards and initiate appropriate action, and participate in safety instructional programs

  • All duties and responsibilities of Eligibility Screening Services On-Site

  • Representative Meeting or exceeding standards for quality or work and productivity

  • 100% travel position. The position requires this individual to be able to travel as needed to remote facilities located across the United States, involving driving, flying, renting car, and staying overnight in a hotel. The individual must be capable of managing travel expenses for 30 days at a time, while awaiting expense report reimbursement.

Required Experience and Education

  • High school diploma required

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • 1-3 years' experience in eligibility centric role

  • Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Medicaid for Nursing Home Placement, Crime Victims,

  • Vocational Rehabilitation, QMB, SSI and any/all other third party coverage and other available local, state and federal programs preferred.
