Elementary Teacher

Central Christian School is seeking two full-time elementary teachers for the 2024/25 school year -- a 3rd Grade Teacher and a 4th Grade Teacher. All candidates should have a demonstrable Christian commitment and an educational philosophy that is consistent with Central Christian School's vision and mission. This individual will be responsible for the educational experience of students including the implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum and program that promotes the spiritual, cognitive, and social-emotional development of students.

Salary: $30K-$59K

Requirements

Qualifications:

• A profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior

• Personally affirm Central's Statement of Faith

• A member of a Bible-teaching Christian church

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or Teaching Certification

• Three or more years of elementary teaching experience, preferred

• Experience developing or willingness to learn how to create Project-Based Learning (PBL) experiences

• Strong ability to connect with children

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Eagerness to serve in a Christian learning environment

• Experience working as part of a collaborative team

• Deep understanding of curriculum development utilizing Understanding by Design or willingness to learn

• The ability to plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate an active learning environment

• Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds

• Commitment to differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners

• Ability to interact professionally with parents and school community members

• Demonstrated commitment to professional development and lifelong learning

• Demonstrated success in creating a classroom community where all students feel safe, welcome, and respected

• Ability to support our mission by relating the Christian faith to learning and life

• Ability to make cross-curricular connections across academic disciplines
