ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Promote the learning and growth of all students by providing high quality and coherent instruction.

• Designing and administering authentic and meaningful student assignments.

• Analyzing student performance and growth data, using this date to improve instruction.

• Providing students with constructive feedback on an ongoing basis. Continuously refining learning objectives.

• Promote the learning and growth of all students through instructional practices that establish high expectations.

• Create a safe and effective classroom environment.

• Demonstrate cultural proficiency.

• Engage students and families in learning in a meaningful and consistent manner.

• Provide all students with access to grade level instruction and essential content.

• Prioritize the social and emotional well-being of students and educators as the foundation for effective teaching and learning.

• Regularly reflect on the effectiveness of lessons, units, and interactions with students, both individually and with colleagues, and uses insights gained to improve practice and student learning.

• Work to establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and families concerning both the broad academic and behavioral progress of all assigned students.

• Employ instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate for meeting state objectives.

• Responsible for all areas of academics with commitment and understanding of the common core standards.

• Experience with Professional Learning Communities (PLC).

• Plan a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interest and abilities of students.

• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interest of the students.

• Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects and the like to communicate these objectives to students.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must hold a MA DESE Elementary, 1-6 Educator License.

• At least two years of relevant experience preferred.

• Bachelor dregree preferred

• Citizenship, residency or work visa required
