TITLE: Special Education Teacher and Case Manager at Elementary School

REPORTS TO: Special Education Administrator and Principal

EVALUATION: Educators will be observed annually and evaluated in accordance of the Raymond Educator

Effectiveness Plan

SUPERVISES: Paraeducators

GENERAL SUMMARY: The school case manager is a certified special educator who according to federal, state, and district regulations, designs and monitors Individual Education Plans, and provides direct instruction to meet the needs of students who have an educational disability and requires special education services.


  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university

  • NH Special Educator Certification

  • Comply with the Standards for Ethical and Professional Performance established by the State Board of Education

  • Knowledge of NHSEIS

  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to present written documents that are clear, concise, and grammatically correct.

  • Ability to work cooperatively as a team member, well organized and flexible


  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)

  • Provide supports and services required to meet students needs and goals outlined in the IEPs

  • Provide specialized academic instruction and intervention for students with disabilities

  • Develop curriculum for Alternative Assessments (MAPS)

  • Schedule and facilitate parent meetings

  • Administer and score academic assessments and evaluations

  • Plan supports and accommodations for students pertaining to state and district assessments

  • Conduct and write results of student observations

  • Work collaboratively with administration, colleagues, and parents

  • Supervises and works collaboratively with paraprofessionals in regards to students' plans and progress

  • Is an active member of subject or grade level teams

  • Communicates effectively with parents and attends parent conferences

  • Meets deadlines and adhere to due process standards set by the state

  • Attend field trips to support individual or small groups of students

  • Communicate with administration regarding student discipline and create behavior plans for specific students


  • Attend staff meetings

  • Perform duties assigned by the school administrator

VIEW JOBS 9/27/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-12-26T00:00 MIDDLE SCHOOL SPANISH TEACHER SUBSTITUTE Temporary teaching position at the Iber Holmes Gove Middle School Iber Holmes Gove Middle School is Raymond's grade 5 - 8 school with a student population of 385+/-. We are a team based school with four grade level teams and a unified arts team. Each grade level team is made up of five classroom teachers and a special education case manager. IHGMS has a wide variety of unified arts classes that all students have access to. They include art, band, chorus, computers, family & consumer sciences, general music, health, physical education, technology, and world languages. This is a long term substitute position for Spanish I and World Languages. There are two sections of Spanish I for 8th graders and World Languages unified arts classes for grades 5, 6 & 7. Spanish I is a year long, high school credit bearing class and World Languages is a 20 class period per trimester class that is part of our unified arts program. IHGMS is actively engaged in implementing a Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) for both academics and behaviors. Along with core academics and unified arts our schedule includes an intervention & enrichment period. Our goal is to have 80% of our students master their grade level standards in reading and math through a competency based education system. Classroom Teacher REPORTS TO: School Principal JOB GOAL: To make knowledge accessible to all students by developing their cognitive capacity and respect for learning. Foster students' self-esteem, motivation, and sense of civic responsibility. POSITION DESCRIPTION: Provide an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological growth. This person is responsible for organizing and implementing an instructional program that will result in students achieving academic success in accordance with Raymond School District Policies. QUALIFICATIONS: The class room teacher will meet all qualifications and behavior standards as set by the Sate of New Hampshire authority. In accordance with certification requirements and the performances expectations of the Raymond Public Schools, all classroom teachers shall meet the following employment criteria. * The minimum of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university * A valid New Hampshire Teacher's Certificate (applicable level-area endorsements preferred.) * A completed credential file that meets Raymond Public School standards. * Professional verification of successful classroom teacher performance and/or student teaching experience. * Evidence of the willingness and the ability to comply with the standards for ethical and professional performance established by the State Board of Education. * Interview/file data will include evidence of sensitivity and respect for others and verification of the demonstrated ability to serve as a positive role model for youth. * Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
