Must possess a valid California Teaching Credential; valid California Administrative Services Credential K-12; and EL Authorization. Master's Degree is required.
Minimum four (4) years of successful teaching experience is required. Spanish/Bilingual preferred. Candidates with knowledge and experience in school administration is highly desirable.
Desired qualifications: Have a strong understanding of curriculum planning, best instructional practice, and interpreting data for instructional purposes; be willing to grow our current programs such as Dual Language Immersion, AVID, PBIS, Restorative Justice, VAPA, and PBL; have excellent communication skills; be sensitive and understanding of our school culture; and be able to and willing to plan and implement a comprehensive school safety plan.
ASSIGNMENT: 12 Months, 212 days per school year. SCHOOL SITE: Rio Vista Elementary Health, Dental and Vision Package is included, plus a $50,000 Life Insurance.

We are committed to providing an enriched curriculum with high expectations for all students which emphasizes the skills, concepts and processes necessary for the technological and cultural challenges of the 21st century. The District provides a variety of educational programs suitable to the needs of a Multi-ethnic and varied Socio-economic community including a large Hispanic enrollment of ninety percent.
The District is located in the City of Pico Rivera, which is conveniently located off the 605 and 5 freeways. We are a short drive from both beaches and mountain areas and are located next to the Whittier Narrows Recreation Area.
