Description:

The Elementary School Counselor is a dedicated professional committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes the academic, social, and emotional growth of students. This role involves providing individual and group counseling, implementing comprehensive developmental guidance programs, and collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to address student needs.

The counselor will also develop and deliver educational programs that enhance students' personal development, while advocating for their well-being and helping to create a positive school climate. Dry Creek Elementary is a school that leans into Restorative Justice Practices and we use that system in coordination with Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) as the foundation of our behavior system. Our counselor works closely with the principal, special education teachers, and classroom teachers to ensure students needs are being met in the way that they need.
