Weave Cascade Christian Schools' guiding principles into all endeavors.
Facilitate opportunities for spiritual growth in students.
Meet regularly with all grade-level student support teams to discuss student progress, identify tiered levels of support, and to facilitate individual student needs.
Function as an essential member of campus leadership student support teams to make decisions based upon student services referral process.
Create and case manage student support plans relative to behavioral, emotional, or academic needs and update annually as needed.
Provide one-on-one counseling to students who may be dealing with behavioral, emotional, academic, or spiritual challenges that are impacting their day-to-day success at school.
Facilitate small group sessions focused on but not limited to common themes such as conflict resolution, developmentally appropriate social skills, and integrate biblical values into social-emotional learning components.
Provide classroom guided lessons for K-6th grade students integrating a biblical worldview.
Provide tier 3 support for students relative to academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
Function as a member of the Crisis Care Team as needed.
Practice ethical and professional standards of conduct including the requirements of confidentiality.
Provide referrals to families to outside counselors or psychologists for appropriate counseling or care as needed.
Consult and collaborate effectively with parents/guardians, teachers, administrators, and other educational/community resources regarding students with identified concerns or needs in academic, personal, social, and spiritual issues.
Provide staff with resources to accommodate the individual differences and needs of students.
Oversee campus-wide professional development training for CCS staff related to pertinent social/emotional issues, self-harm, suicide ideation/intent, child abuse reporting laws and guidelines, and other related topics as needed.
Lead and facilitate parent meetings during scheduled school conferences, after school hours, and other identified times as needed.

Provide assistance to high-functioning behavioral support needs.
Create a safe space for students to share their experiences and explore/grow in their faith.
Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in school counseling, psychology, or other related fields
Able to attend one Saturday open house event
Able to attend devotions, faculty meetings, after-school and evening functions
First-aid and CPR-certified or willing to receive and pass certification training

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Washington State Certification and/or License in School Counseling or related field
Two or more years working with elementary-level students

REPORTS TO:
Director of Student Services and Campus Principal

WORK HOURS:
Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

START DATE:
September 1, 2024

SALARY RANGE:
$55,000-$75,000; Depending on Qualifications
