Job Summary

The elementary site principal is responsible for all aspects of the management and operation of an elementary school. It is the responsibility of the site principal to assume the instructional leadership of the school staff and to promote the cooperative development of a school program which will best meet the educational objectives of the school district for all learners. Integral to that work, the elementary principal is also responsible for promoting the district's commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). Walnut Elementary School serves a diverse population of students including unduplicated pupils, students with disabilities, and neighborhood students.

QUALIFICATIONS: • Five years of classroom teaching experience. • Possession of a valid Administrative Services Credential. • Effective leadership skills and experiences. • Experience in administrative capacity preferred. • Proven background in instruction, assessment, and professional development.
