Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Serve as a mentor to teachers through co-planning, team teaching, sharing effective instructional
strategies, and modeling lessons to support their professional growth.

● Conduct non-evaluative observations and provide feedback/coaching teachers' planning and
delivery of instruction.
● Analyze state and district assessment data to identify professional development needs and design
and implement targeted opportunities.
● Support the development of systems, tools, and processes to enhance coaching practices.
● Collaborate with the Concept Academic Department (CSAD) Directors, the Director of Teaching
and Learning, Assistant Principals of Academics (APAs), school-level Department Heads and
Instructional Coaches to ensure alignment in standards-based instruction.
● Participate in periodic meetings with the applicable CSAD Director. Meet regularly to ensure
consistent communication regarding department initiatives is taking place.
● Create and maintain data trackers and visualizations to inform teachers and administrators of
progress (standards mastery, school visits, improvements to instruction).
● Support teachers in understanding and implementing the curriculum, Danielson's Framework for
Teaching, and data analysis.
● Facilitates guidance and helps to develop new and existing teachers who need growth according
to the Danielson Framework.
● Assist implementation of Schoology in accessing curriculum and resources and supporting
educators with instructional strategies and content.
● Make recommendations for improvement and assist with the implementation of goals related to
the Personal Improvement Plan.
● Develop, lead, and participate in ongoing and job-embedded professional learning to improve
student achievement. Partner with applicable CSAD Director to co-present/facilitate at Regional
PDs/Institutes
● Assist in ensuring the implementation of the Concept Academic Framework with fidelity by
connecting resources and guidelines from CSAD and teachers.
● Collaborate with the CSAD Director to get familiarized with recommended curricular resources
for their subject/grade levels.
● Creates detailed coaching plans, which include focused goals and measures of success, to drive
learning cycles.
● Supports teachers' achievement of goals by using coaching strategies that gradually release
responsibility for implementing instructional practices to the teacher (for example, co-planning,
modeling, co-teaching, side-by-side coaching, and observing).
● Consistently analyzes teacher practice through ongoing classroom observations, data analysis,
and examination of student work.
● Provides clear and direct feedback to teachers based on analysis of practice.
● Tracks student and teacher progress to assess the effectiveness of coaching.
● Develops teachers' capacity to collect and analyze multiple sources of data to improve student
learning.
● Collaborate with teachers in designing instructional decisions informed by assessment data and
culturally and linguistically responsive practices within the Tier I environment.
● Communicate and demonstrate evidence-based instructional practices that result in increased
student performance and improved classroom environment through collaborative co-planning,
modeling, and co-teaching.
