Elementary Curriculum

Alder School District, #2, an independent K-8 school, is seeking two elementary certified persons who will teach in this amazing frontier rural school setting at the Alder School located in the Ruby River Valley where many outdoor opportunities abound. The successful candidates will teach either primary or upper elementary grades in multi grade settings.

Another opportunity for one of the successful candidates is the role of lead teacher. The successful candidate will provide appropriate grade level instruction, differentiating to meet individual students’ learning needs. Candidates must be cooperative, collaborative team members of the school and community as we work together to promote Alder School and its dedication to help students be successful, lifelong learners.

Alder operates a mostly 4 day school week with school scheduled on a handful of Fridays throughout the year. The students also receive instruction in Music, Art, and Spanish by local professionals. Each applicant must possess at the minimum a MT OPI certified Class 2 license in K-8 elementary or PK-3 Early Childhood or the ability to obtain said licensure.
