Elementary Curriculum

Due to a retirement, Rapelje School is seeking an Elementary teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Applicants must have a valid Montana Educator License with the appropriate endorsement and/or demonstrate the ability to obtain proper certification.

The district would prefer candidates with dual licensure. Coaching, extracurricular, and bus driving positions are available for additional stipends. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

We have 45 students in K-8, 20 students in the high school, and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 5:1. Newly employed teachers will receive credit for up to five (5) years of prior experience.

The 2024-2025 base will be $30,338. Salary depends on certification and years of experience.

The district contributes to health insurance.

Coaching, extracurricular, and bus driving positions are available for additional stipends. Our school year is 169 days (including PIR days) with a five-day week, ending one hour early on Fridays.

Rapelje School is a small rural school in south-central Montana. We are located 25 miles north of Columbus, 65 miles northwest of Billings, and 124 miles from Bozeman. Rapelje is centrally located for many types of outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, hiking, and skiing.
