Temporary Multi-grade Substitute Teaching Position – Wisdom, MT

Start Date:                  Early October 2024 (tentative)

End date:                    Conditional - upon the regular teacher’s return, or not later                                           than two months after the start date

Location:                    Wisdom, MT

Salary:                         $155/day

Wisdom Elementary is seeking to employ a conditional substitute teacher in absence of the regular teacher for two months of maternity leave, tentatively to begin in early October 2024.  This temporary position will end with the return of the regular teacher, or two months after the start date, whichever occurs first.

We are a rural school located in the beautiful Big Hole Valley in southwestern Montana.  The projected enrollment is seven students in grades 5-8.  Lesson planning will be completed by the regular teacher. 

Qualifications: Valid Montana elementary teaching certificate is preferred, or the district will submit an emergency authorization of employment if necessary.  The successful candidate must consent to, and pass, a fingerprint criminal background investigation, or provide the results of such that are less than two years old.
