Core ELA/SS Teacher - 1.0 FTE

2024-25 Salary Range: $46,813-$68,815 or current placement on salary schedule.  Benefits available.

Description:

This postiing may be for one or more positions.  This position is responsible for teaching most likely three blocks of ELA/Social Studies, however could include one block of Science or Health Enhancement.

Understanding and effective instruction of the Montana State Standards in ELA/S.S. is required.  The teacher will be a member of a 7th or 8th grade interdisciplinary team as well as part of the school's ELA/SS PLC.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have, or be willing to obtain, a current Montana teaching certificate in K-8 preferred of ELA and Social Studies certified or secondary licenses in Social Studies and English or any other required area prior to the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year.  Previous experience teaching middle school students is preferred.

Working Conditions:

The position includes teaching multiple periods of ELA/S.S. (possibly other content areas as outlined above) each day plus SEL on a weekly basis.  The teacher will work closely with colleagues on the team as well as in conjunction with the other ELA/S.S. teachers in the school.
