Middles School Title Math and Reading Teacher

SALARY RANGE:

2023-24: $37,853 - $55,613 depending on education and experience, 2024-25 TBD

POSITION SUMMARY:

Montana endorsed K-8 Elementary Education teacher who is capable of teaching students with a wide range of abilities in grades 6th through 8th grade. This position is a Title position. The Middle School Math and Reading Specialist’s primary responsibility is to provide targeted support and instruction to students in the areas of mathematics and reading and will work closely with both students and teachers to identify learning gaps, develop intervention strategies, and implement effective teaching techniques to improve student achievement in these critical subjects.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Successful applicants will be expected to follow the Standards of the Montana Office of Public Instruction (OPI), write lesson plans that cover and assess those standards, be appropriately licensed and endorsed in accordance with state statutes and Board of Public Education rules with specialized training or certification in math and/or reading instruction preferred; Demonstrate experience working with middle school students in an educational setting; Strong understanding of middle school math and reading curriculum standards; Excellent communication and collaboration skills; Ability to analyze data and make data-driven instructional decisions; Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students' academic growth.and have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from students, parents, staff, and the community.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

Reports to the Middle School building Principal.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 

• This position is 1.0 FTE with 166-day contract days based on a 4-day school week calendar.

• Position qualifies for insurance and retirement benefits.
