Sheridan Elementary is seeking a dynamic, energetic elementary teacher who will teach in a self-contained classroom. The successful candidate will need to provide appropriate grade-level instruction following the adopted District curriculum and Montana Common Core Standards.
They will need to be a cooperative team member of the school and community as we work together to promote Sheridan Schools and its vision of “educating the whole person, empowering them to reach their highest individual potential.” Through our team approach, we expect all of our staff to set a positive example for our students and promote positive behavior throughout the elementary building. They will need to support Special Education students as IEP and 504 plans are developed cooperatively to best meet the student’s needs. The successful candidate may also perform other duties as assigned by the building Principal. There may also be opportunities to coach extra-curricular activities if the candidate is interested.
Sheridan Schools operate on a 4-day school week. Sheridan is located in the lovely Ruby Valley.
It abounds in a variety of outdoor activities including hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping. Our students have many extra-curricular opportunities including volleyball, football, basketball, track, and forensics. We also have a very strong FFA Chapter.
