Elementary Classroom Teacher

Teaching elementary school students individually and in groups, adapting teaching methods to

meet student's varying needs and interest. Curriculum includes phonics, reading, writing, math,

social studies, science, and social emotional development. Guide the learning process toward the

achievement of curriculum goals and establish clear objectives for all lessons. Plan lessons for daily

instruction that derive from state standards and assessments. Provide educational experiences that

reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served. Conduct

instruction effectively and proficiently. Work effectively with a wide variety of students in a

culturally diverse setting. Create a classroom environment that engages and supports all students

in learning and is appropriate to the maturity and interests of students. Develop incentives to keep

students in class. Communicate with parents and school counselors on student progress. Must hold

valid NC Teaching License in Elementary Education (K-6). Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent

in Education or related required. Multiple Positions.
