Printpack is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Electronics Technician. This position reports to the Maintenance Lead and is located in New Castle, DE. This will be a night time position.

  • Communicate with associates to identify and understand symptoms of machine problems

  • Diagnose root cause of problems with production equipment to determine optimal solution

  • Follow safety procedures

  • Perform preventative maintenance

  • Maintain the effective and efficient operation of production equipment according to priority

  • Manage maintenance projects

  • Maintain fire and security systems

  • Follow and demonstrate knowledge of plant and process safety rules, safe operating methods, good housekeeping practices, and food safety procedures

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and electronic equipment, including motor relays, circuit breakers, machine & process controls, and electrical distribution systems

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery logic systems, PC based systems, and all types of drives and motors

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED

  • Proficient at troubleshooting discrete motor & power control circuits, AC drive systems, analog & digital DC drive systems, servo motors & drives, stepping motors & drives, electrical/electronic systems, PLCs, ladder logic, and communications

  • Start to finish written PLC application experience

  • Start to finish HMI development experience

  • Clear understanding of process control systems

  • Proficient using Microsoft Windows based operating systems

  • Read and understand mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings

  • 4+ years industrial maintenance & electronics/electrical experience or a combination of industrial experience and vocational/military education

  • Able to write and communicate effectively with ability to train others

  • Multi-crafted and competent in hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical repairs

  • Proficient with Microsoft & Google apps and computerized maintenance software

  • Able to work any shift including 12-hour rotating shifts schedule and overtime

  • ET certification a plus

TA Instruments is hiring a Production Engineering Technician that would have the opportunity to support product development and production programs. In this position you would work closely with Manufacturing Engineers to resolve problems, evaluate & implement design & process changes and insure complete documentation. Typical tasks of the position include, but are not limited to * Provides first line support to manufacturing floor on specific products or families of products * Provides guidance and direction to Manufacturing Technicians and Assemblers, assisting with troubleshooting of non-routine problems * Reviews Problem Tracking Logs (PTLs) with goal of problem resolution and minimization of reoccurrence * Investigates and responds to Corrective Action Reports (CARs); analyzes CAR data to understand trends and problem frequencies for prioritization of longer term solutions * Conducts or may direct others to conduct tests and failure analysis * Assists Technicians with analyzing/reviewing test failures * Makes recommendations for resolution of problems * Works closely with Manufacturing Engineers in proving out cost reductions by evaluating and testing engineering changes, reviewing material alternatives * Reviews materials on hand and makes recommendations for disposition of existing inventory * Follows changes through the manufacturing process to ensure that changes are properly documented and procedures are updated * Processes ECO's * Develops test procedures to support changes * May interface with vendors on material design/quality issues The successful candidate will have a combination of knowledge, skills, and experience that would include the following Education: * Minimum of an Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering (EET), Electronics Technology, Electrical/Computer Technology or closely related field. Experience: * 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment * Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
