Electronics Technician I

KBR is looking to add an Entry-level Electronics Technician I to our team at the Naval Air Station (NAS) in Patuxent River, MD. As part of the KBR team at the NAS Electromagnetic Compatibility Test and Evaluation Branch, you'll directly impact maintaining the United States' air and sea superiority.

Shift: Monday

  • Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM, full time on-site.

Typical Responsibilities

  • In this role, you'll test the performance of Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) on various aircraft platforms, support equipment, and weapons systems to determine their EMI susceptibility and protection with the NAVAIR AD6220M Electromagnetic Compatibility Branch.

  • Applying E3 engineering techniques, principles, and precedents to develop, design, modify, install, test, evaluate, or operate electrical, electronic, avionics, mechanical, communications, stores, armament/ordnance, or related data processing systems for military weapon systems or associated support equipment or components.

  • Under direct supervision, works to perform defined tasks according to procedures and established practices.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • High School diploma or GED;
  • AND
  • Completion of a technical school, trade school, or advanced armed services technical school curriculum or course of training in electricity, electronics, avionics, mechanics, armaments/ordnance, or engineering technology.

Experience: This is an entry-level position. 0+ years of experience.

Clearance: Secret OR able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.
